Amarjit Dass from Moonlight Hubb Consulting talks to Lauren Yen, Co-founder of Torch Global Inc. Torch Global Inc. was created by a team of college students after taking a trip to a refugee camp on the island of Lesvos, Greece. The students saw the poor living conditions of the refugee camps and majority of the tens and makeshift shelters were made by plastic tarps and cardboard. The team created a product to allow temperature regulation of the different types of shelters. The organization is focused on providing low-cost, low-tech solutions to increase comfort in tents and makeshift structures for vulnerable populations across the globe.
